Indiana is the only non-control state where beer distributors are not permitted to carry any type of spirit-based products. There is no legitimate policy reason for liquor distributors being allowed to sell both malt- and spirit-based RTD products while beer distributors are restricted.
Beer distributors have been prevented from carrying the RTD beverages offered, and often manufactured, by traditional beer suppliers.
WHAT IS CURRENTLY WRONG WITH THE SYSTEM?
Liquor distributors are allowed sell both spirit-based and malt-based RTD beverages, in addition to their current offerings, while beer distributors can only sell the malt-based beverages.
